If you are looking at the design of the 2018 Honda Ridgeline, you will see a tough vehicle with a solid stance – and there is definitely a new thing and benefit to expect from this vehicle. Honda claims that this second gen will be coming with a lot of updates and improvement and they are hoping that the Ridgeline will be appealing to many auto enthusiasts and fans.
2018 Honda Ridgeline Improvements
Besides some of the minor changes on the body and construction, technologies will be the main focus of the updates. Although Honda claims that powertrain will remain the same as before, this unibody vehicle will definitely get some supports and improvements. Expect some of the updates of LaneWatch technology, Tire Pressure Monitoring, Honda Sensing technology, Eco Assist system, and Intelligent VTM-4 to be included in the production.
Another major change for the 2018 Honda Ridgeline will include the so called Advanced Compatibility Engineering technology for the body structure. Whereas the first generation only got the privilege of having five trim options, this second gen will have a total seven different options. Not to mention that there will be a sophisticated audio system whose speakers you can control with your phone. Honda is hopeful that they will be able to sell 6,000 units of this variant.
2018 Honda Ridgeline Design
Just as it was mentioned before, this Ridgeline will be coming in a unibody construction whose features are mostly similar to the Pilot. Expect some addition on the cargo space with total expansion of 4 x 5.4 inches. The 2017 model has a pretty generous cargo space but this one is even more generous than before! For the riding comfort, there will be 8-inch of a display screen on the dashboard for easier access and viewing. Trim levels will determine the features and look in the interior cabin but be sure that all of them will be comfortable and convenient.
2018 Honda Ridgeline Engine
Engine department will remain the same with the V6 3.5 liter unit although output has been improved and tweaked. The current engine has 250 hp of power and it is possible that the new output will be increased up to 280 hp of power – the output of the new Pilot. If this 2018 Honda Ridgeline will be developed with the same fashion as the Pilot, you can expect that the new Ridgeline will come with the same power.
It is predicted that this line will be released somewhere in the end of 2017 but there is always a chance that it will be released sooner. For the new 2018 Honda Ridgeline, the tag price is set around $30,000.
